Voting by Mail
You are eligible to vote by mail if you are:
• 65 years of age or older
• Out of Pecos County during the entire election period
• Sick or disabled
• Confined in jail, but eligible to vote
To vote by mail, you must:
1. Request an application. Call Liz Chapman, Pecos County Early Voting Clerk, at 432-336-7555 or email her at email@example.com to request an application.
2. Fill out the application and mail it to: Liz Chapman, Early Voting Clerk, 200 S. Nelson, Fort Stockton, TX 79735. It must be received by Friday, Oct. 26.
3. Return your completed mail-in ballot to Liz Chapman.
How soon must I return the mail-in ballot?
Voting from within the U.S.: Once you fill out your ballot, it must be postmarked by Tues., Nov. 6 and received by the next business day after Election Day, Wed., Nov. 7.
Voting from outside the U.S.: Your completed ballot must be postmarked by Tues., Nov. 6 and received by the fifth day after Election Day. Since the fifth day falls on a Sunday for this election, the deadline is Mon., Nov. 12.
